We always wanted to buy fresh meat from the market because it tastes good, but what happened to this Chinese woman was freaky!

Ms. Cheng from Shandong province bought a fresh meat from the market, when she was about to cut the raw meat he notice something was moving inside.

She thought it was worms or other insects. Ms Cheng freaked out when she found out that the raw meat was clean and it still moving.

It looks like it is still alive or that there are worms or something inside. However when I cut it open I didn’t find any worms, just twitching,

said Ms Cheng.

According to Ms Cheng she bought the meat at 8 AM and began to cut it at 9 AM, but she doesn’t know when it was butchered.

What was actually happened was that the spasms from nerve-ending hadn’t died yet after the animal was slaughtered.

This piece of meat is very fresh and is from a freshly slaughtered animal. The central nervous system is dead but the nerve endings in the muscles are still firing resulting in the jumping, because the nerves are not yet dead. This will stop after a short time,

said Lu Suwen, an expert at the local animal health department.

For many years of experience, I have encountered this type of tampering. Using medicine or other means to make muscles twitch is unnecessary,
Lu Suwen added.

According to some reports of other health department officials, it was safe to eat the twitchy raw meat.

Some Weibo users commented that the pulsating was a sign of “freshness” and safe to eat. Nothing to worry! It’s just freaky.

The freaky video was posted in Weibo, it has more than 11 million clicks. Weibo is the Chinese equivalent to Twitter.
