Man and beast may don’t get along well but in this village, they treat wild beasts as friends.
Whenever I hear stories about leopards in India it usually ends up with some poor humans getting chased by the wild animal. The unlucky ones sometimes even get bit in the butt.
But just because man and beast don’t get along so well doesn’t mean that one would not help the other in a time of need. Case in point: a group of villagers in India worked together to rescue a leopard that got trapped in a well.
According to The Times of India, a leopard was chasing a chicken when it fell in a well in the village of Mandvi in India. The people in the village along with forest officials used a platform as a makeshift ladder for the leopard to climb over.
The leopard was caged without injury to the animal or human. It will be released in forest area after health examination. It will be released in an area away from human habitat,
said a forest official.
